Open Positions

  • Position in Theoretical solid state and statistical physics, Open till: 30 Apr, 2017
Contact Person: Prof Dr Janez Bonca
The Department of Theoretical Physics plans to fill a research staff (2-year tenure track) position in Theoretical solid state and statistical physics, with a planned starting date in January 2018. The position would become permanent after one year pending a positive evaluation of the candidates research performance. We are interested in candidates at the postdoc or untenured assistant professor rank. The theoretical solid state and statistical physics group has a long tradition in computationally intensive methods and the department provides its own facilities for high-performance computing. Areas of interest include strongly correlated electron systems, non-equilibrium systems, thermalisation of complex quantum systems, nanoscopic physics, and complex networks. Candidates are expected to have a strong research record in these or related areas.
To guarantee full consideration, applications should be received before April 15, 2017. Details and Requirements
