Industrial conference

To advance cooperation between physical sciences and industry in Slovenia, we have organized a national conference where academic and research institutions have presented their research programs and facilities to participants from a number of companies. The conference took place May 10 2005 and was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. Details as well as talk slide shows and most of the posters can be found on the conference webpage.

Radio round table on women in physics

Why are female physicists so few? How do women find studying physics and working as physicists? What should be done to achieve a more balanced representation of women in physics? All these questions and many others were addressed at a round table aired on Radio Student April 21 2005. Host: Lucija Grilec (University of Ljubljana); participants: Alenka Bajec (University of Ljubljana), dr. Marjetka Conradi (J. Stefan Institute), Zvonka Kos (Modrijan zalozba) & myself.
